WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY IN-STUDIO NEWBORN SESSION?
I recommend booking 3 months in advance, if possible. I take a limited amount of due dates per month, to ensure plenty of time and flexibility for early or late arrivals.
*If your newborn has already arrived, it may not be too late! Reach out ASAP and I will do my best to accommodate.
DOES IT REALLY NEED TO BE WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF BIRTH?
YES. Absolutely. Babies will only curl up naturally for a short period of time before all they want to do is break free and stretch out. We do have a little bit of wiggle room, I accept babies for newborn sessions up to 4 weeks old. If baby was premature or in the case of twins, we have more wiggle room as well.
DO YOU PROVIDE EVERYTHING FOR BABY?
YES. If you have any special accessories or props that you would like to include, I encourage you to bring them! Do you *need* anything? No. I have everything that will be needed. Sometimes moms & dads have special items that they want to include, and I fully support bringing them to make your session your own.
WHAT SHOULD PARENTS WEAR?
Neutral tones photograph best. Creams, beiges, soft browns, muted pastels, and simple textures are always recommended. Once booked, you’ll receive a guide with further recommendations to help you feel confident choosing outfits.
I'M NOT SURE I WILL WANT TO LEAVE THE HOUSE SO SOON...
I understand how exhausting and overwhelming those first few days can be. As a mama of 4, trust me... I've been there! Getting out for some fresh air can be nature's best medicine though. I will have as much as I can prepared for your arrival, and a plan set in place so that we can get you guys in & out as quickly as possible so you can head home and get back to snuggling.
